Firearms Safety Orientation
1.
First-time shooters at our Pistol Range must be given a Firearms Safety Orientation from one of our Range Safety Officers.
2.
Brass ammunition ONLY permitted on the pistol range.
3.
RSO's will slowly walk inexperienced shooters through the pistol range process.
4.
You can shoot - Handguns and Pistol caliber Carbines: Any common handgun caliber, and pistol caliber carbines.
5.
You can shoot - Rifles: Any style .22lr, and small caliber rifles up to and including .223/5.56 AR-15 and SKS and AK-47 style rifles that chamber 7.62x39 only.
6.
You can shoot - Suppressed and other NFA/Class III (semi-auto mode) (Stamp needed on premises). Firearms: Any of the above calibers can be shot suppressed, however, No full auto, No bump fire, No sustained rapid fire.
7.
Holster work: OWB - Only (Duty belt, Competition holster, Range non-concealed holster). Must be observed and tested by an RSO to determine their competence.
Rules & Safety
1.
No low cut blouses, open top or sleeveless shirts, sandals or open toe shoes are permitted on the range.
2.
Everyone is required to wear eye and ear protection before heading to the range.
3.
All firearms must be unloaded, and magazines removed before heading to the range.
4.
All firearms must be fully encased in a tightly closed hard case or canvas bag before heading to the range.
5.
Firearms in holsters only are NOT permitted. They must be completely encased as above.
6.
CCW License holders may carry a concealed handgun on the property but not on the range.
7.
Do not enter range, wait at the bottom of the ramp for an RSO.
8.
Range card, green sales slips, and your safety checklist: Paperwork must be handed to the RSO before entering the range.
9.
Pistol caliber handguns/carbines/.22lr rifles ONLY on the steel range, no exceptions.
10.
Anyone not complying with all safety items will not be permitted to shoot and may have privileges revoked.
Rifle Range Rules and Guidelines
Everything below must be read before booking your appointment.
To qualify for both Rifle and Pistol, please bring a pistol on your first visit, even if you are only shooting rifle so that you can qualify with both in same orientation.
Rifles
1.
All rifles must have full shoulder stock.
2.
All rifles must have a minimum 14" barrel.
3.
All rifles must be bore sighted and proofed with RSO before shooting on 100 yard range.
4.
All rifles must have optics or iron sights.
5.
All rifles must be braced (i.e. bi-pod, shooting bags, lead sled, kneeling by shooter, or sitting braced.)
6.
No shooting from the standing position at 100 yards without specific RSO approval.
7.
Rifles may be shot at paper targets only on the 50 yard range.
8.
Shooters MAY shoot standing on the 50 yard range
Pistols on Rifle Range
1.
To shoot pistols on the 100 yard range, they must be of long range shooting design. (i.e. Bullseye, hunting, and long range target)
2.
In order to shoot pistols on 100 yard range, they must be of single shot or revolver design.
3.
Any pistol shot on the 100 yard range must have optics or scope mount.
4.
Pistols shot on the 100 yard range must be braced.
5.
Pistols must have a minimum 6” barrel. No semi-automatic pistols my be shot on 100 yard range.
Rifle Range Booking
WHAT WE OFFER AT THE RIFLE RANGE
100 yard
5 shooting positions consisting of 3 bench covered stations and 2 prone/kneeling/sitting stations.
50 yard
2 shooting positions standing or sitting at table.
100 yard
Includes use of steel targets or paper stands. Shooters may bring their own steel.
50 yard
Paper only for rifles, steel for pistols.
